The Theater At Sea website has been created to facilitate recruitment process for TUI Cruises.

​TUI Cruises is a company operating luxury cruise ships and its offer is aimed at German market.

We are recruiting candidates for arts and entertainment department on seven cruise ships of Mein Shiff fleet.

 

We organise casting to assemble theatrical cast of singers, dancers and acrobats. We enrol bands and soloists. We recruit technical teams and production crews.

 

​We provide training ashore and induction training on board.

WORK ON A CRUISER

“Mein Shiff” ships are some of the largest cruisers, traveling between the sea resorts of the world.

 

Every ship consists of a thousand seats theater, chamber stage, music club, open air stage and numerous bars and restaurants with live music where an excellent entertainment programme is presented on a daily basis.

On every vessel there are around 10 event technicians responsible for sound, light and stage. During a contract the entertainment personnel has live-in arrangements, can access most of the guests’ areas and disembark during stay over in harbours.

The most popular cruises take place on the Mediterranean, Caribbean Islands, Asia or Norwegian fjords. Evening working hours allow for sightseeing numerous remarkable sites.

HIRING NOW 

STAGE AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN

Responsible for operating stage automation during all shows in the main theater.

ALL-ROUNDER TECHNICIAN

Responsible for all stage equipment and props used by the Entertainment Department on board,

*Detailed job description will be presented at later stage of recruitment process

OUR REQUIREMENTS

Very good command of English language (understanding of German will be a big asset)

Very good knowledge of event technology with main focus on stage

 

Experience working in a similar position

 

Experience working with stage automation

(applies to Stage Automation Technician only)

Experience handling theatrical props and stage set elements

Experience working with stage manager

Professionalism, motivation, punctuality and ability to work as part of a team

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Step 1 – APPLICATION FORM

Step 2 - INITIAL TELEPHONE INTERVIEW

Our representative will call you for an initial interview. Be prepared for a few technical questions.

Step 3 - INVITATION TO ONLINE INTERVIEW

You will receive an email with an invitation to an online interview with TUI Cruises representatives

Step 4 - ONLINE INTERVIEW

The dates will be agreed individually. During the interviews, theoretical knowledge will be assessed.

Step 5 – CONTRACT AND INDUCTION TRAINING ON BOARD

Selected candidates will receive proposal for contracts in 2021. After arrival on the ship, for the initial period of the contract new employees work in a buddy system, paired with a person holding the same position.
