The Theater At Sea website has been created to facilitate recruitment process for TUI Cruises.

​TUI Cruises is a premium cruise operator focused on the German market, offering high-quality, luxury cruise experiences.
We recruit professionals for positions within the Entertainment Department on board Mein Schiff fleet cruise ships.
Our recruitment covers technical and production crews, including light, sound and stage technicians. We also organize castings for theatrical performers, such as singers, dancers and acrobats, as well as musical ensembles and solo artists.

WORK ON A CRUISER
Mein Schiff vessels are among the largest cruise ships, traveling between some of the world’s most beautiful seaside destinations.
Each ship features a 1,000-seat theatre, a chamber stage, a music club, an open-air stage, as well as numerous bars and restaurants offering live music and a high-quality entertainment programme on a daily basis.
On every vessel, there are approximately 10 event technicians responsible for sound, lighting, and stage operations. During the contracts, entertainment personnel has access to most guest areas and is able to go ashore during port stays.
The most popular itineraries include the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Asia and the Norwegian fjords. Evening working hours allow plenty of time to explore many remarkable destinations.

JOB DESCRIPTION
SOUND & LIGHT TECHNICIAN (SLT)
Sound & Light Technician is responsible for running shows on chamber stage. The venue hosts extensive entertainment programme including concerts, comedy shows, acrobatic performances and live TV.
This position requires control of sound, lighting and basic multimedia during events and is responsible for handling all technical equipment used on stage.

System configuration allows the operator to control multiple devices from a single console. We use DiGiCo SD11 or A&H dLive for sound and grandMA for lighting.
​
The operator liaises with the venue manager who is responsible for the smooth operation of the shows and provides support to FOH over the intercom system.

OUR REQUIREMENTS
Very good command of English language (understanding of German will be a big asset)
​
Very good knowledge of event technology with main focus on sound
Experience working in a similar position
Good knowledge of common audio DAW systems (primarily: Ableton Live) and digital mixing consoles
​
Good knowledge and experience handling wireless microphone systems
​
Familiarity with products from grandMA family and essential lights programming skills
​
Professionalism, motivation, punctuality and ability to work as part of a team
​
