The Theater At Sea website has been created to facilitate recruitment process for TUI Cruises.
TUI Cruises is a company operating luxury cruise ships and its offer is aimed at German market.
We are recruiting candidates for arts and entertainment department on seven cruise ships of Mein Shiff fleet.
We organise casting to assemble theatrical cast of singers, dancers and acrobats. We enrol bands and soloists. We recruit technical teams and production crews.
We provide training ashore and induction training on board.

WORK ON A CRUISER
“Mein Shiff” ships are some of the largest cruisers, travelling between the sea resorts of the world.
The Ship consists of a thousand seats theatre, auditorium, music club, open stage and numerous bars and restaurants with live music where an excellent entertainment programme is presented on a daily basis.
There is a cover band, a trio, a duo and a soloist performing on every vessel. The musicians create formations adequate to the event character. During their contract the entertainment personnel has live-in arrangements, can access all guests’ areas and disembark during stay over in harbours.
The most popular cruises take place on the Mediterranean, Caribbean Islands, Asia or Norwegian fjords. Evening working hours allow for sightseeing numerous remarkable sites.

BANDS’ RESPONSIBILITIES
Regular concerts and special events participation
Collaboration with other bands with the assistance of music manager
You will be expected to take part in band rehearsals and make sure you are well prepared for the show
You will be expected to take responsibility for stage and dressing room cleanliness
Maintaining positive attitude among the team and the entire entertainment department
Taking part in safety drills

OUR REQUIREMENTS
Rich musical repertoire
Ability to easily comprehend and absorb new musical pieces and arrangements
Stage experience and ability to work in a team
Ability to read music notes and musical education will be an advantage
Good command of English language; (good command of German language would be a huge asset)
Professionalism, motivation, punctuality and good manners

RECRUITMENT PROCESS
Step 1 – RECORD YOUR DEMO
Record a short video material which best shows your character and your bands’ talents and upload it to a streaming service (eg. Vimeo or Youtube)
Step 2 – BAND APPLICATION
Fill in the form at the bottom of the page. Answer a few questions and include the link to your demo material and some photos of your band
Step 3 – SUBMISSIONS EVALUATION
Your application will be evaluated by our casting team. The best performers will qualify for the next stage when they will be assessed by jury from TUI cruises
Step 4 – JURY EVALUATION
Upon review of the submitted material, the jury will select their favourites to be invited to final online interviews
Step 5 – CONTRACT PROPOSAL
Selected bands and soloists will receive contract proposals at convenient times and detailed information regarding work and life on board
